INDUSTRY 4.0

The First industrial revolution began with the advent of mechanization, along with water and steam power, the second with mass production, electricity, and the assembly line, and the third with computers and automation. All of which naturally lead to the 4th industrial revolution, AI & Robotics!
As usual with most complex issues we can see the opposition proclaiming doom and gloom while proponents declare this revolution in our economic evolution to be somewhat utopian.
You Decide!
ROBOTS DO NOT: Get Tired, Need Sick Days or Vacation Days, or Insurances, or Pensions. Robots are FAR more consistent in what they produce than their human counterparts.
No Human Resources Departments Needed!
Now on the democratic side during the 2020 presidential election there was a candidate named Andrew Yang, whom I believe coined the phrase "Automation Apocalypse", and he was speaking about this 4th industrial revolution, what he believed it's socioeconomic impact would be, and offered what he believed to be a viable solution, in part anyway.
Ideologically too far left, but he makes some very valid points none the less!
How many people will become displaced in the workforce when AI and Robotics begins to carry the bulk of the load? How many of those people will be re-trainable and able to enter into other fields of employment? How many will not and fall through the cracks?
JUS SAYIN!
