The primary purpose of this blog, of this site for that matter, is for me to notarize my passions, thoughts, and or opinions for review at a later date, to see what, if anything, has changed in my mind about the topics of the day and my thoughts about them.

A House Divided

I believe that America is more divided today than it was during the 50's and 60's during the civil rights movement. Not because the gap between the "races" has grown over the years, rather because today there is more societal fragmentation, in general, than there was 60-70 years ago!

When looking at the political, sociological, economic, and religious divides within this nation, as well as at all of the subsets of divisions within them, it seems painfully obvious that "The United States"of America now looks more like a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle than it does "One Nation Under God".

Now no rational person can expect citizens to just stop on a dime and reverse course on something they have believed for their lifetime. Especially in this day and age where information (propaganda) is being hammered into people within every segment of society 24 hours a day!

Well, here is a truth bomb for you, there is no such thing as subjective truth! Saying something over and over again does not make it truth. What it does do however is it makes untruths believable!

The fact is that the only truth is objective truth and that only objective truth can set this nation free from that which is dividing us. The problem is that, for a variety of reasons, few are willing to listen to, and examine, all sides of an issue to get to it's objective truth.

It is my hope and prayer that America returns to it's roots, to that which is objective truth (something that presumably exists independent of the subject's perception of it), and back to that which lays beneath this nation's foundation and supports it. Back to our first love!

Our God who is Truth, who's word is truth, and who's light is The Light of Truth within this fallen world! In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen!
