What Made The Good Old Days Good

I believe that when you get right down to it, the idea of "the good old days" is a matter of perspective, insomuch as each generation has and will have it's own "good old days".

And within each group there will be sub-groups of people who's personal thoughts and life experiences will shape their idea of what their good old days will look like in their own minds.

Personally I was particularly blessed to have grown up with 3 out of 4 of my great-grandparents in my life into my early twenties, and my mom's parents, but for a brief time, lived no more than a half block away from us from the time I was 5 years old until their deaths. Five generations of my grandfather's family lived, died, laughed and cried in what once was a small fishing village in Brooklyn, NY called Sheepshead Bay. As did more than a few other families who's roots are in "The Bay".

Life wasn't easy back in those days but they sure were simple. Dad went to work, mom took care of the home and the kids, one TV and one phone in most homes, one car for most families, and lots of time spent out of doors.

if you were a guy back in my time, and you had a Spalding High Bounce ball with a broom-stick or a stick-ball bat, you were good to go all day most every day. No bat? No Problem! Box ball, box-baseball, hit the penny, stoop ball, punch ball, hand ball, and Chinese hand ball kept us busy and amused. Even more importantly it kept us out of the house and physically active, and out of trouble for a good part of the day.

What Makes The Good Old Days Good?

Most of our great grandparents came to the "new world" seeking a better life for their children than they had, and they sacrificed dearly for them to have the opportunity to live the "American Dream".

But something happened along the way. Over time the genetics of our nation was altered.

The first snippet to be altered was the X X, via Woman's liberation, and the next snippet was not simply "alteration" rather the complete removal of the XY from the home, via easy divorce through a biased court system. To what End? I believe that the family unit has been systematically, and quite effectively I might add, targeted and destroyed in order to get to our children, the future of America. The father is now out of the home and the mother is working, which in most cases means she is absent from the home or that someone else is raising the child or children. And this IS NOT a healthy environment for children. It's certainly not what God had created for them! You think I'm wrong? Then what is below must be another coincidence!

FRIDAY, Sept. 11, 2020 (Health Day News)

A nearly 60% jump in suicides by young Americans since 2007 has experts alarmed and somewhat puzzled.

Suicides among children and young people aged 10 to 24 rose 57% from 2007 to 2018, according to a new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

"The increase in youth suicide has been pervasive across the U.S. No area is immune," said report author Sally Curtin of the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics. "Hopefully, these data will inform prevention efforts."

The surge was broad: 42 states had statistically significant increases between 2007-2009 and 2016-2018. Eight had statistically insignificant increases. Thirty-two states had hikes of 30% to 60%.

In actual numbers, the suicide rate among 10- to 24-year-olds jumped from about 7 per 100,000 in 2007 to nearly 11 per 100,000 in 2018, according to the National Vital Statistics Report published Sept. 11. Read More And This is ALL Before SARS-CoV19!

Now We Can Add These Things To The Shoulders of Today's Children:

  • Economic Stress

  • Social Isolation

  • Loss of Community and Religious Contact

  • Social and Medial Influences

And "the virus" can't be blamed here!

The virus did what a virus does and that is take the weakest of the herd. It is the response to the virus by a corrupt system that caused ALL of this.

Even more importantly it is the response of the sheeple that caused this to happen. And the true effects of this "pandemic" are yet to be felt!

What makes the old days good? That they are not like today!
