Knowing God (Part One)

It's a very sad truth that there are many Christian believers in the world today who are earnestly seeking to know their Father God more intimately but fail to do so because they really do not understand who He is  or their relationship with Him.

Our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God who has no beginning and no ending, the God who created all that is seen and unseen with a word, is so far beyond man's ability to take hold of Him that He told Moses to tell the people that "I AM that I AM" sent him onto them. (Exo 3:14)

Concordant Greek Text 1975

How many times have you had someone say to you; "God is the same today as He was yesterday and will be so forever? I have heard that expression used by Christians ever since I can remember and I believe that it is true, only not in the way that most people do. (Surprise)

Let's drill into "I AM" just a bit:

Brown Driver Briggs Hebrew Definitions: to be, become, come to pass, exist,

Strong's Numbers: A primitive root (compare H1933); to exist, that is, be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary)

Our God is the same today as He has always been, and He will be the same tomorrow. He IS whatever He will be or becomes!

You see Brothers and sisters, theologians have effectively put God into a nice tidy man made box and they are trying to shove the body of Christ into the same box. These have created an image of God, through Systematic Theology and it's sub-disciplines, that simply stated, does not represent the God of the bible. And I intend to prove it in subsequent posts!

In the mean time I'd like you to ponder this question: Has God ever changed His mind about something He has done? Be Blessed!
